It's been a long time since I last wrote a short composition.
I heard that all of you have gone to Ziyang Street to eat seaweed cakes, but I want to say that actually the seaweed and wheat cakes in Sanmen and Ninghai are really fragrant. (Here, I was so clumsy that I almost used the "yyds" that I despise the most.)
Continuing from last time, I mentioned that I like to have meals in areas like Shipu where the Taizhou dialect is spoken. To put it more simply, having meals in places where the Taizhou dialect interacts with dialects from other regions offers a greater sense of joy in the mixture of various foods and customs. For instance, most areas of Ninghai and the Shipu area in the southern part of Xiangshan. There are also places like Dajing in Yueqing, Huwu and Yandang Mountain, which border Wenling and speak the Taizhou dialect. Let's get back to the point. This is the seaweed wheat cake I had in Gaojian, Sanmen. Gaojian is located at the junction of Sanmen, Linhai and Tiantai. It has both Linhai and Tiantai dough sheets. They also sell wheat shrimp. Unlike when you go to other counties and districts in Taizhou, they don't have to put up a sign for Linhai wheat shrimp. This is a local delicacy that they have no problem with. It's just like when you go to Yuhuan to eat Qian gao, they don't bother to buy Wenling Qian gao. Moreover, the wheat cake oil in Gaojian is much similar to that in Linhai urban area and Jiaojiang, but not as insibland as that in Sanmen County, Haiyou and Tiantai, Xianju.
Linhai, having served as the administrative center of Taizhou Prefecture for over 1,300 years, has absorbed a wide variety of foods from all over Taizhou. For instance, the seaweed used in the seaweed cakes that are popular on Ziyang Street is actually produced in large quantities in the Sanmenwan area. Both Ninghai and Sanmen have seaweed cakes. Moreover, the Sanmenwan area is different from the surrounding regions in that it particularly loves seaweed peanuts.
All in all, when it comes to enjoying various seaweed products, Sanmen and Ninghai are better choices.
By the way, I visited all the wheat cake shops on Gaojian Street, but the one at the bridgehead beside Duobao Temple was the most to my liking.
